Requirements

This update requires:

  • an installation of EUCARIS release 6 running on Windows server 2008/2012 using Microsoft SQL Server (all editions) and Oracle (all editions).

The Latest version of the Configuration Tool is distributed via System Updates (denoted as SU-CTxx), and can easilly be installed by the current installed Configuration Tool (version 6.2.x.x or higher). A recent version of the Configuration Tool can also be obtained as installer by requesting this at EUCARIS Operations.

  • A retry mechanism is build-in for a second System Update confirmation retry. In rare occasions (usually on the server running the update service) the first call to confirm fails (because the website is not yet up).
  • Removed the setting of local services for SecretaryStateExtractLogging, SecretaryStateCollectExtract and VHOwnerHolderMultipleRegNumAndDate because they are obsolete.
  • Removed the Tasks “Configure SSL certificate bindings” and “Configure http namespace ACLs” from the menu in Update Mode.
  • Added extra pre-validate check to see if the destination XML file can be deserialised (System Update actions AddInXmlFile and ReplaceInXmlFile).

  • In some cases IIS kept a lock on some EUCARIS libraries which causes a System Update to fail repeatedly. The System Updates now recycles the regarding application pool prior to replacing files, and checks if there is no Read-Only file attributes set on the destination file or folder.
  • When an emergency backup failed dusing a System Update, the Config Tool tried to undo the regarding System Update (which always fails). Fixed in this version.
