Use of the EUCARIS system

Hungary is participant of EUCARIS and is providing vehicle information based on the EUCARIS Treaty.

In addition Hungary is making use of the EUCARIS technology for information exchange based on

• the EU Prüm Council Decisions (2008/615/JHA and 2008/616/JHA),
• the 3rd Driving Licence Directive (2006/126/EU) and
• the Cross Border Enforcement Directive (2015/413/EU)
• VAT (Council Regulation (EU) 2018/1541)
• TOLL (Directive (EU) 2019/520)
• Council Directive 1999/37/EC
• Salzburg Agreement.
